DECK CHEF
The Deck Chef on ESPN Radio
The Deck Chef just got faster. Since Ally and I have so much spare time on our hands (that’s a joke) we decided to take ESPN Radio 1370 in Chattanooga up on an offer. “Will you host a local racing show?” Racing Edge Radio is now on the air every Saturday mornings from 9-10 am Eastern time. The shows feature Ally and I, as well as our son Mace. We have kept many of our contacts with people in NASCAR and other series and will have some great guests. Of course, cooking at the track tips will be involved.
If you are in Chattanooga, tune in every Saturday or go online at www.racingedgeradio.com for downloadable clips and interviews. We invite all of our bike friends, friends, tailgate buddies and more to tune in!
Looking for a great steak recipe that has all of the down home flavor of a grilled steak with the gourmet touch? Here is a quick and easy recipe for adding a tomato cream drizzle or dipping sauce for your next steak.
The trick is to marinate the steak in some red wine and a few spices for about an hour. Then make the easy cream sauce using some canned soup and a bit of sour cream mixed with some Italian seasoning.
Grill, mix, drizzle or dip and enjoy!
Marinated Steaks with Tomato Cream Sauce
2-4 cuts of your favorite steak (We like ribeye or T-bone)
Crushed black pepper
1/2 cup Red Wine
dash of Salt
1/2 tablespoon Minced Garlic
1/2 tablespoon Minced Onion
Olive oil
Combine all of the ingredients including the steaks in a zip close bag and marinate for about 30 minutes to an hour. Bring to room temperature before cooking.
Cream Sauce
1 can tomato soup
4 tablespoons sour cream
1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon parsley
1/4 tablespoon minced garlic
Grill the steaks as you desire, combine cream sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Add additional seasonings if desired. Chill and drizzle over steaks before serving. Remaining sauce can be saved in the fridge covered for about a week.
