Dear Alabama Riders,

I don’t know what’s going on, but if you ride a motorcycle, you’d better get to your local dealer and get it serviced:  tires, brakes, or whatever you need done, because you are not going to have time this summer for much of anything but riding and working.  Thank God I’ve got the job that I have or I might not get any work done.

Faunsdale, TNT Custom Cycles Customer Appreciation Day, Rick’s Cycle Parts Customer Appreciation Day, Mt. Cheaha HD Dyno Drags, 411 Biker Shack Crawfish Boil, Alabama State Trooper Memorial Ride (Man, is this one is going to be something exciting), Seale Bike Rally, Alabama State HOG Rally, Thunder Beach Spring Rally and the list just goes on and on.  We have been bombarded with rides and events.  I don’t think there is a weekend where there is not something big going on, not to mention the Poker Runs and other things people have planned.

The Alabama State Trooper Memorial Ride, along with the Anheuser-Busch Company and the Alabama Budweiser Distributors, are putting on one of the biggest rides the state will see this year.  We will be releasing all information on bands, bike builders, and vendors in the next issue.  The Alabama Troopers, along with Budweiser and Full Throttle and everyone else involved, are working our asses off to put on a show that nobody will forget.  This is something that everybody in the state will want to attend.  It is going to be one of a kind.  For those who have not heard about it, this is going to be a state-wide escorted ride by the Alabama Troopers into Garrett Coliseum.  Starting points will be spread out all over the state.  Once you arrive in Montgomery, there will be a memorial service for the fallen State Troopers and a party fit for only our great group of riders in the state of Alabama.  I’d also like to invite our brothers and sisters in Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle to join us.

The entire staff of Full Throttle Magazine is extremely excited about this year’s riding season.  We intend on attending every event possible. So if you are out riding your girlfriend around with your wedding ring on, be careful.  You just might wind up between the pages of the next issue of Full Throttle.  A little humor, ha ha.  But if you are out there, we definitely want to see your happy smiling faces and have you in attendance at the next event we are covering.  If you have an event coming up and there is any way we can help you, please contact us.  Please give us some notice because our calendar is already getting extremely full.

I know a lot of you have been sick with this flu that’s going around.  I’ve had it as well.  Damn!  That is about the only way I can describe it.  It didn’t seem like it affected the kids and the elderly.  It was sort of the middle-aged group that caught hell.  I know a lot of people, including myself, took a month to get over it and a lot of them ended up with pneumonia.  I hope everybody is well, and if not, I hope you get well soon because it is time to get back out in the street.  Be careful, look out for one another and I hope to see you out there.

Ride it like you stole it,
