DECK CHEF Don't forget the Puppies During a recent weekend Ally and I headed to several events around the Chattanooga area held at different shops. We had a great time at Super Street on Cloud Springs as well as a cool time at Ultimate Cycle before ending the day with a big plate of barbecue from a favorite restaurant. Ahhh, the sweet life. While at Super Street a couple we met said they were getting ready to have a shrimp boil and did I have any suggestions for something besides the normal bag of frozen hushpuppies from the store. Ally and I tried this recipe a while back and thought it would fit the bill. It’s simple and you can double it as needed. Crawfish Puppies Mix flour, corn meal, crawfish, onion, egg, and sugar with enough buttermilk to make a thick batter. Drop by teaspoonfuls into deep hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
