NIGHT AFTER DARK… A POSITIVE EDGE IN CHRISTIAN ROCK

Hello music fans.  Each month I try to bring you a variety of musical taste and styles, and this month will be no exception as I introduce the newest craze burning up the younger generation of the Atlanta music scene.

Lately I’ve noticed my teen daughter’s head bobbin’ up and down like a bobble head prairie dog sitting on the dash of a car as she listens to the new iTouch we got her for Christmas.  Her mouth is open, bearing all her teeth and her hand is extended in the air over her head in some sort of rock-n-roll peace sign.  Every once in a while, a strange growling noise can be heard escaping her lips.  The sight (and sound) is pretty hilarious, especially since I hear nothing; however, it’s pretty obvious she is truly enjoying and rocking out to the music that is being piped into her brain. 

Who is it and what kind of music has turned my country-loving, bubble gum teen into a heavy metal rockin’ roller?  It’s Night After Dark and it’s heavy metal Christian. 

Night After Dark is a heavy but strongly Christian band made up of five young but very talented musicians.  Their music grabs you and moves with intensity, conveying their message with real purpose…. a refreshingly strong, positive, and intensifying message.  Praise music with an edge. With a driving bass line and heavy-handed kick drum and smoking guitar work, Night After Dark is a rock band that doesn't let go.  Listen to their songs and know that talent dwells within.  Their music is clear and casts no shadows.  If you like it heavy but strongly Christian, I promise, you will not be disappointed in this group. 

What does the future have in store for these young God-fearing rockers?  I don’t know, but they’re on the right path, so I'm going to keep an eye on them and you should too.
