LADY OF THE MONTH
Hi, my name is Tammie Garrett. I was born and raised in Alabama, but moved to Cedartown, GA 27 years ago. I have been married for 29 years to a wonderful man named Randy. Our children are grown, and we have two beautiful granddaughters.
I have always had a thing for bikes. I got my first when I was 12 years old. It was a Honda 125. After years of riding on the back with Randy, I noticed that a lot of women were riding their own, and we already had two, so I decided to take the Rider’s Edge course at Atlanta Harley-Davidson. While taking the course, we started the overhaul on my bike. I just to have it in my favorite colors. I love white, so I wanted to give it a girly look. She is pearl white with pink and purple ghost flames. We had never taken on painting a bike, but I think she turned out pretty good. The girls all like her a lot and I love my bike. It is a 1997 Fat Boy custom.
Riding our bike together and going to bike rallies and events has been a great way to get away from all the stress and demands of home and work. We really love it.
