GEORGIA MOTORCYCLE TAGS AND TITLES ARE BEING REVOKED!!!!!!

Across the state motorcyclists are being denied tags and titles on new and previously titled motorcycles. The motorcycles effected are kit and custom bikes.  Georgia is claiming that
the motorcycles do not meet the federal emission and safety rules. I contacted the state to
obtain the procedures and tests required to meet the federal emission and safety rules in Georgia and was assured they would fax them to my office. After repeated phone calls I was told that they could not comment on denied tags and titles due to current litigation involving this subject. I was told a bill is being drafted in their legal department at this time that addresses denied tags and titles. I presume the bill will be introduced in this session.

Full Throttle and ABATE of Georgia is planning a ride to the Capitol on February 12, 2008 to protest these actions. A petition has been stated and will be available to sign at the ABATE swap meet on January 27 and at the Great American Motorcycle Show February 8-12. Call your local state representative or go to: http://www.congress.org/congressorg/state/main/?state=GA&view=myofficials#0 and object to any bill that is introduced that will limit your personal freedom in the choice of motorcycle that you ride.
