Cruisin with Crystal

Wow!  It's not often I get to write about someone as legendary as Al Strozier!  Thanks Ron Reiss for the tip! Looks like you've landed a prime seat!
Al Strozier, is a rhythm and blues singer who arrived on the music scene back in the 1950's and sang with the legendary Sam Cooke in the group then known as Soul Stirrers. Those of you who are young and ask, "who is Sam Cooke?", well he is only one of the most popular and influential black gospel and soul singers to emerge in the late 50's. To start your career on such a level only sets the stage for a long and exciting musical career and that's just what Al is experiencing!

After performing with the Soul Stirrers, Al auditioned as a harmonica player with the Atlanta Blues Caravan Band and became an instant hit!  He then auditioned and became the drummer for a new Atlanta band Gladys Knight was putting together called, (yes, you guessed it), Gladys Knight and The Pips!
After Gladys left Atlanta, Al formed a band with his brothers call "The Stroziers", and recorded an album titled "Red Light".  Afterwards, and just recently, he recorded his first solo album made up of original music with his newest band called, " The Al Strozier Band".
There's not enough room for me to tell you everything about Al's journey or to list all the famous people he has shared the stage with so please believe me when I say Al's musical history is quite impressive and that there's no doubt, he's not done yet.  After nearly 50 years of creating music, he's still going strong and he's still having a love affair with you and I.  That my friend makes him a legend!
Be proud of who YOU are Al.  Some people never make it this far!
