Dear Alabama Riders,
Well, Christmas is over and the New Year is here. I hate to say it but I am usually as glad when it is over as I am when it gets here. I hope that everybody has a safe and happy New Year’s Eve. Things seem to be loosening up a little bit. I know that most all of us are still worried about our economy, as well as our Country. Personally I feel like the worst is yet to come but hopefully not.
You would think that this time of year there wouldn’t be a lot going on but we have got the Great American Motorcycle Show in Atlanta which is going to be a huge show this year, as well as the World of Wheels in Birmingham and Atlanta. This time of year is when I was hoping to get some rest from the summer but that will not be the case. It looks like we are going to have a pretty cold winter. I know that there is not a whole lot of riding going on but we still need to get out and support these shows and events.
If you are planning to have anything major done to your motorcycles, now is the time to get it done and all of our advertisers will be glad to help you. Before you turn around it will be time for Daytona, Faunsdale, Bama Bike Fest and then off to Thunder Beach and the many other events and rallies throughout the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.
Southland’s Full Throttle Magazine is now covering all of Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee the Florida Panhandle and parts of Eastern Mississippi. This year, Randy and I, are striving to give even better coverage, seek more events and continue our effort at putting together the top magazine in the Southland’s area. We are seeking a few self-driven people to step in for the Montgomery, Dothan, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville areas. With the right people in these areas I know that it would be a great help to me to give the riders the exact motorcycle enthusiast magazine that they expect from us.
We are always looking for ways to make the magazine better for our customers and especially our readers. I would like to give a big, “Hell Yeah!,” to all of the readers who get out to support the magazine, the dealerships and all of the events throughout the year. I would also like to say thank you to the girls in the office, Justin and Rick and all of the salespeople, photographers, writers and friends who make it possible for us to do this year after year. Oh yeah, last but not least, I would like to say a special “thank you” to Vivian and Kaye, for putting up with Randy and me throughout the year; dragging them up and down the highways, as well as our sweet dispositions. Of course, all of you who know Randy and me, realize how lucky they are to have us. NOT! It takes a very strong woman.
Ride it like you stole it,
