Man of Month

JB Walker

What better way to kick off a new year than to feature the man that fronts one of the best known biker bands in the US, JB Walker: American Biker and Ramblin Man. JB’s Cheap Whiskey Band is starting its 25th year in business and will have another new CD, “I Cried Dixie with a Rebel Yell” coming out in time for Bike Week where they will be performing at the World Famous Iron Horse Saloon.
The 51 year old rocker can be seen riding on his ’92 H-D Heritage Softail or cruising in either his ’69 Cadillac DeVille or 2000 Cadillac Limo. Behind his car you’ll see a new band trailer sponsored by Harley-Davidson of Atlanta, Full Throttle Magazine, Lawbike.com and the Iron Horse Saloon. People are actually stopping by “The Firehouse”, the band’s world headquarters in Mableton, GA and taking pictures with the trailer.

With more than 50 USO shows for American Forces serving around the world, the band will be heading to Afghanistan once again this summer. With years of experience JB has a unique insight into the biker scene and consults with the production of motorcycle events worldwide through his RoadHard Management and Consulting business.
His other businesses, Southern Hot Wax Recording Studio’s and American Motor Music Records; will be releasing 6 albums this year from bands and solo artist that, you guessed it, play music for bikers.
This year he has planned a “Just For JB” ride, “I’m ridin’ on down to New Orleans, hadn’t been in a while and never rode a bike there.” When asked who he would like to meet, “Myself, alone on the desert at night.” That will be tough in New Orleans.
