NEW LIFE

Well, here it is, March again. As I write this, the temperature is 34 degrees after being 70 yesterday. Don’t you just love it? Hold on now, springtime is right around the corner.
Bike Week is happening right now.  There are rides and rallies on the calendar and rain gear in the saddle bag. Isn’t it great? Where else can you experience the full effect of all four seasons in one month?
Now let’s talk about what really happens in the springtime. After four months of riding all wrapped in leather with no life along the highways to look at and wanting to stop at every Cracker Barrel and stand by the fire, we can be hopeful of a new and better season ahead.
The trees will begin to sprout their beautiful foliage. Azaleas will display the warmth and beauty that their creator has graced them with. Bradford pear trees will have those “snowball blossoms” that capture our attention. I am a landscaper and I really look forward to this time of year because of all the “new life”. There seems to be “new life” everywhere.
You cannot look around yourself this time of the year and say, “There is no God”. The Bible says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth His handiwork” (Psalm 19:1). God is all about “new life” and He wants to give it to you! Only He can take a life that has been meaningless and turn it around! Only He can break the bonds of addiction and set the captive free! Only He can take death and bring life.
Aren’t you tired and weary of carrying all that baggage around, wishing life would give you a break and never does? Life doesn’t promise anything but death. Please consider giving your life to Jesus Christ and experience for yourself the “new life” that He promises. He said, “I am the way, the life and the truth”(John 14:6). Won’t you come to Him today?
